From our community partner: The McKenzie River Food Bank is open today June 9, 2020 from 3 PM to 6PM. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 we will also have the 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦: This is lunches for children ages 1 through 18. You can pick them up at the Food Pantry today for the next 2 weeks. The Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs is supporting The Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) program by collecting data from schools. Hello McKenzie Families, As the last lessons are sent out today, Tuesday, June 2nd, students will have the rest of this week and beginning of next week to finish any work. We will be sending a schedule out tomorrow with times available to start dropping off text books, reading books, and Chromebooks to the school next week.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT Danielle Melcher Favorite K-12 memory at McKenzie: Spending the weekend in Redmond with the volleyball team when we made it to the state finals. Accomplishments (academic, athletic, or extracurricular) : -Volleyball team captain for 2 years  -Volleyball First-Team All-League -Basketball team captain -Basketball Second-Team All-League -ASB officer for 2 years -High Honor Roll Plans for the Future: This summer I will work as a member of the hand crew for Mckenzie Fire. In the fall I will attend Oregon State University to study Forest Restoration and Fire. Message from Family: "Danielle, your desire to work hard, dedication in leadership, and role as a mentor have left me without words. Your contributions to our community, our school, and our family have been tremendous. I look forward to watching you grow into your future endeavors and what you contribute to this world.
