Update Coming Soon - School start has been delayed until Monday, September the 11th.

Dear McKenzie Families, Students and Friends,

In light of information received at last night’s Community meeting as well as our contacts with the Lane County Emergency Management office regarding the fire/smoke hazards, the Administration  feel that it is in the best interests of our students and the staff, to delay the start of school  until Thursday, September 7th.

It is our hope that the time provided by this delay will allow us to investigate solutions to healthy indoor air quality for staff and students as well as allow our families time to prepare and adjust to getting students prepared for school in this smoky environment.  These fires are projected to be active for some time and the smoke will be something we are all learning to live with and will have to deal with until the fires are out. We want to make sure that we are healthy when we are at school learning.
